The Social Network

I'm pretty sure frequent movie goers would have seen this posters in various cinemas nationwide which stated showing Nov but have yet to see it in screen, yet already hear the buzz all over the US about it. Yes, it's "the social network", based-on-true-story of the most popular sites in most of our daily life, facebook!

While some of my friends has seen it online, there's various media sponsors starting giving invitation for special screening since Sunday. So yesterday, thanks to ShaolinTiger, Niki Cheong & Nuffnang, I got passes to the special screening in Mid Valley yesterday!

This movie starring Jesse Eisenberg who play the role of Mark Zuckerberg, also the founder of facebook. While the all so very cute Andrew Garfield plays the role of Eduardo Saverin, supposedly the best friend of Mark.

And so while the rest of the world (guys especially) are curious & want to search for the mystical Erica Albright (well, I actually overheard some guys while waiting outside the washroom that they also wanna facebook out Mark's ex), I'm more interested in knowing how the actual founders of facebook look like...

The verdict: they look really... "Harvard" after all.. LOL

How actually is the movie? I would say it's a VERY INTERESTING movie, almost great, to see the origin of facebook (though not sure how accurate is the truth) and the conflict behind it (and ass-like people) . For brotherhood, or dream, or simply business?

Well, for those whom are not of virtual world, internet & facebook... (like my dad?) Probably it's not the best choice but for the rest *thumbs up*

I wanna be The Sorcerer's Apprentice

Nicholas Cage is on screen again with his new movie "Sorcerer's Apprentice".

Well, of everyone's mind, what would you do if you have magic? What would you do if you're a sorcerer?

I think a lot of people somehow have kinda been brainwashed by Spiderman's “When there is great power, there is great responsibility.” thingy thus the most common yet simple answer would definitely be “TO SAVE THE WORLD”!

If I am a sorcerer, I won't save human cos as long as there's humanity, human beings would have greed, ignorance, jealousy, etc... Let's not go down the list, we see wars and killing, destruction throughout human history YET there's always such a thing call love thus humanity prevailed & human will still survive.

Anyhow, with the power I have, I'd save the animals from extinction due to human cruelty, such as sea turtles, tigers, rhinoes, whales, etc... Well, throwing fireballs on those who kills for greed is just one of them, I will try to put spells on certain amount of animals that nobody could harm them. Or perhaps I just move some of them into the magical world of sorcerer.For that I might need help from a lot of sorcerers, I need sorcerer friends~

Last but not least, if I am a sorcerer, I would very much like to get to know other lgendary sorcerers such as Albus Dumbledore, Lupin, Hermione, Ron & the twin Weasley brothers... Yes, the sorcerers from Harry Potter! A different movie but they are sorcerers too, right?

Hmm… Come to think of it, it ain't bad to be a Sorcerer's Apprentice after all~

Best Bits of Project Alpha Season 2

Project Alpha Season 2 has come to an end with its 49 episodes + one  bonus video, which has been uploaded on youtube & projectalpha site.

Wow… You don't feel it by catching one episode a day and 7 weeks just passed like that! ! *sweat*

Anyhow, everything comes to an end & there ought to be a summary. To me, of all the 7 bloggers featured (excluding the reunion trip of bloggers PA1 to Kuching), the best bits moment in PA2 is the bloggers' trip to Tambum Wildlife!!

I mean, the last time I've been to Tambun was before the Wildlife is opened, how long ago was that! Their trip really give me to crave to visit Tambun again and look at all the animals... *Too bad I don't think anyone of us randomly can get as close to the animals like KY & ShaolinTiger* Oh how thrilling!

Ninie Ahmad, a very dedicated yoga teacher, whom I only got to know through Project Alpha's video (though I saw her at PA2 bloggers launch). All these while I knew Yoga is good for health, is a good source of meditation and all but what I didn't know is that it actually has different types and stages! All the headstand and all... Simply WOW.. I seriously believe now that the things that seems easiest might not be the easiest way after all! *Should I learn yoga? *

I also love Niki Cheong's trip to London to meet Xiaxue. Oh London! Trafalgar Square, Big Ben, London Eye, etc... Oh Borough Market, how tempting!!!

Other than the cool lifestyles & attitude the bloggers showed, they actually gave some really useful grooming tips, how do you think all of them look so good anyway? Grooming is IMPORTANT! *and Cheeserland made it clear for us that photoshop is an essence to help you gain blog traffic~ So start enlarging your eyes~? * XD

Other than their special individuality, it's amazing to see these featured bloggers actually have such strong bondage with one another!

Azwan Ali, the diva whom apparently has a style of his own with his blog entries using ALL CAPS LOCK! Wow… I haven't seen his blog before but I doubt I'll read it often after seeing this. But then again, from his PA interview, I learn one thing that it's important to have a style of your own. Just go for it :)

My Wiggy Design

Nowadays people like everything to be personalized, to be special, even your credit cards. Since a lot of peeps are carrying their notebook/netbook around these days, why not make it special and have your own special wiggy?

I think a perfect wiggy is like a lollipop! With a wiggy, you can online anywhere, it feels so sweet it makes your mood HAPPY all day round!

The lollipop will be a colourful LED, so when the signal is slightly weaker, only the middle will shine, and the shining circle gets bigger as the signal gets stronger. But I think with the P1 wiggy, the whole lollipop will be brightly lit~

Football=Adidas?

World Cup FEVER is ON! Don't tell me you don't know what is world cup? *slap head*

Who Will Win the World Cup?

FIFA World Cup is BACK after 4 years & it's less than a month to go!! As we all know this year FIFA World Cup is in South Africa!!  Have you seen the TVC on Astro with all the players transforming into wild life? That was SO COOL~! Fabulous CG!

Well, personally I'm not a football fan but I've watched the FIFA matches once in a while. It's a 4-years-once event leh, no joke!

But then again seeing the players playing for their own country instead of their various teams such as MU, Arsenal, Liverpool, etc.. (Which I think my knowledge of football teams as just as much as these) is a whole lot fun! You'd see players that normally were opponents playing together as a team to win for their country. That's really all about TEAMWORK man... (of course they're called professional players for a reason..)

*Ok lah I admit I watch more or less for the cute guys :P, just like somebody once said, girls don't like football but they like football players LOL*

My Entry For Blog It!

"BFF"(Best Friends Forever)... I'm pretty sure lots of ya seen this word often used to describe close friends, especially GIRLS. Weird tho, I personally don't really fancy using the term of bff though i'm a girl.

Anyway, that doesn't mean I don't have close friends. Yes, I do have various close friends at different stages of life, and I love every one of these girls in my life.

I once wrote about a crazy night out back in my college days, one of my most memorable ones. So who were the crazy girls back then? Well, they're none other than the forever-so-madness Hanee & the quiet yet sporting Dai!

I still remember going to watch the Irish tap dance performance "River Dance" with them in Bukit Jalil~ AWESOME TIME!

Over the years even after college days Hanee & Dai became such close friends of mine, that we stayed in different places (Klang,  Seremban & Kulim), we'll have stay over at each others' house & their family members knows me, vice versa. We're such best buddy that when Hanee's sister got married, all of us went to the wedding...

and few years later when Hanee's brother got marry, we're all the way to Kulim for it! That was the first time I wore saree! *shy* The funny part of the wedding preparation was throughout the wedding preparation while we stayed over at Hanee's, I'm the only Chinese in the house. So while even Sally & Dai joined in the conversation in Tamil, the only thing I could do is watch the subtitles of the Bollywood film… LOL

Now that Hanee, Dai & Sally are still studying overseas, we'd try our best to meet up still every summer when they comes back, either travelling up or down.

Now that FAVOLA @ Le Meridien Kuala Lumpur is giving out chances to win a free meal for four, I'd like to invite Hanee, Dai & Sally! As Sally's graduating this summer while Hanee's birthday's coming up! It'll sure be a memorable meal at a special place!

My Dream Destination

I always have this 'thing' for old red bricks houses, castles and all since I was a kid. It's probably I used to read Enid Blyton and all kinda English books while I was a kid. But so far as I've ever been nearest to English homes was those English cottages my family used to go for a short trip up in the Camerons. Yes, Cameron Highlands only... Where we used to burn firewoods at the fireplace in the living room at night. COOL~
Anyhow, when I started reading Harry Potter series which drew me so addicted to it, I start to grew fond of the European country more! Imagine the days where I finish Harry Potter Book 1-4 all in one shot sitting beside the fireplace in the Camerons. COOL~
During my secondary years, my ultimate dream was to studying somewhere in Cambridge, a living history & sanctuary of education. But then life's always go the other way round & I ended up in Shanghai *for God knows why*...
Looking at the pictures my friends have when they go tour around Europe during their student exchange programme in uni seriously rub it in sometimes, yet you still feel amazed of the beauty of the places.
So after the movie Harry Potter came about, with the scenes of Alnwick Castle,

King's Cross Station, Oxford, Fort Williams, etc... Yes I know it's like a lame tourist destination yet I still wanna have a visit some of these places.
Then if I have the money & time, perhaps from England,  I can fly over to Netherlands to visit a friend of mine. :)
I know all dreams are possible, all you need is good planning & preparation… You can get some travelling tips which  RedMommy shared some in this episode of Project Alpha season 2.

My Version of Grooming Tips

When talk about “grooming”, most people will relate to “Care for one's personal appearance, hygiene, and clothing” which in short means beauty care!

For girls, there's always another step in which most guys need not worry much is MAKE-UP! And we ALL are well aware of the magic of make up.

Example below:

  *yeah I know I should put some effort into making make-up a daily routine*

Anyhow, I'm pretty sure when you LOOK good, you wanna SMELL good too, right?

Imagine when you're out on a movie with a gorgeous looking date, and throughout the show you THINK you smell sweat! *and you have to stuck with that odd smell for the next 2 hours~* At least that's what I've experienced today in the cinema though I went to the show alone, neither one of the person seating beside me is my date. *and I'm not sure whether the smell comes from the stranger guy beside me or the seat I was in*

For now, I can't be 100% sure about LOOKING that gorgeous BUT I can be 100% sure I SMELL good all the time with Adidas Action 3! I got a sample from attending Project Alpha Season 2 Bloggers' Launch 2 weeks ago & started using since & I'm LOVING IT!

My Date Night

There's this upcoming movie called "The Date Night", starring Steve Carell & Tina Fey. It's about how the couple's day night out turned out to be an unforgetable run and hide event!

 

My most memorable date was back in college, 20.6.2003, the day before "Harry Potter and The Order of the Phoenix" was launched! Haha… *You know how memorable is THAT, I even remember the DATE~*

 

Well, since me and my date are huge Harry Potter fans, we wanna grab hold of the book as soon as possible, and what's more, Kinokuniya KLCC was giving out GREAT discounts for the first 100 customers!

So that afternoon after class, we've just decided we'll be psycho ONCE for the sake of the book, we decided to go QUEUE and WAIT!

 

But back then being normal college students WITHOUT a car, we left our college in the evening and went to KLCC for dinner. We know it'll be a VERY LONG night waiting, so we've decided to watch a mid-night show... I've forgot what's the name of the Indian movie though. *Yes, as we've been hanging around in cinemas after class weekly, the only movie that interested us and left unseen is an Indian movie~ and the best part is IT'S 3-HOUR-LONG so our wait outside could be shorter*

 

By the time the movie finished it was about 2AM. Without public transport, we couldn't go anywhere, not that we want to anyway so we basically WAITED OUTSIDE KLCC... We've walked around, played some cards and then decided to sit down and read some novels. *Thank God for BOOKS*

 

We thought there would be a lot of crazy people like us waiting for the whole night but apparently the first crazy person didn't show up until it's 4:30AM… *The other humans we saw throughout the night were the security guards and the janitors..*

 

Anyhow, after the first person show up, there's more people showing up as time passes, with their parents or grandparents being dragged up early in the morning to send them there...

Before the entrance of KLCC was opened, there's already a HUGE crowd squeezing in front of it, including us. And the MOMENT the door was opened... *BOOM* EVERYONE PUSHED & RAN like there's a tiger behind and we're RUNNING FOR OUR LIVES~ *We have to RUN UP the NOT MOVING ESCALATOR*

You can see slippers flying slippers then being abandoned because the owner just keep running up!

 

*deep breath* THANK GOODNESS by the time we ran up to the 3rd floor and queue up, we were customer 95-97~!!! Yay yay yay~ and we all got our book at GREAT discount~!!

 

THAT was a GREAT NIGHT out~!! Oops.. Did I mentioned that my crazy dateS were TWO crazy GIRLS?! Miss you girls so much~!! *Hey, nobody set a rule that your date MUST be a guy and MUST be only one person, right?*

 

Nuffnang is giving away 90 pairs of tickets to "Date Night", I hope I can get the tickets so I can watch it (on behalf of the girls)~ *and who knows MAYBE this time my date would be a cute GUY? XD*

No Sweat!

Have you watched the movie “全城热恋热辣辣”(Hot Summer Days)?  Yes, when talk about SWEAT, it makes me think and relate to this movie! WHY?

If you have yet to watch, here's the trailer... Watch it, then you'll get my point..

Everyone SWEAT like mad, even by looking at the scenes itself makes me feel hot and sticky even though I was seating inside the cooling cinema that day.

Ok, I know that's a little exaggerating, Malaysia's HOT but not as bad as the movie BUT for a person who sweats easily like me, ... It ain't a pretty scene *especially when I eat spicy food*

Yes, I LVE HOT & SPICY food, that's where all the aroma and spice are~ BUT I CANNOT TAHAN PEDAS, thus I'll keep sweating...  Imagine when you're eating spicy food in a place without air-cond, man.

NOW, with the new ADIDAS ACTION 3, makan pedas pun NO SWEAT!

Walk under hot sun also NO SWEAT!

HOT SUMMER DAYS (Obviously Malaysia's in summer 365days/year) pun NO SWEAT!!

What's more, I smell FRESH all the time~ Woohoo~ Don't you just LOVE the idea of looking cool and breezy all day long?

I'm going to the Gatsby Deodorant Street Fair

When I see the name “GATSBY”, all that i could think of is TAKUYA KIMURA!

Oh my, doesn't he just look GOOD?! *Too bad he doesn't show up in Malaysia*

I Just Love Good Smelling People

Have you ever stayed in winter cities where it's snowing outside and the wind is blowing? You couldn't  stand the temperature INDOOR unless you have a heater.

Do you know in some places (such as dormitory), you have to walk out to public bathroom to get a bath? Imagine walking out to a public bathroom just to have a bath UNDER the COLD FREEZING weather... Surely it's not a happy thing to do, right?  That's why you'll see people who bath only once in 3 days, or maybe a week!

You think it's UNBELIEVABLE? Well, wait till you're in a situation when you'll think you smell something weird as somebody walk pass you.

Well, that is in WINTER though, I think it's kinda hard to find a person that doesn't bath for days under the  HOT scorching weather of Malaysia, yes, an OVEN… Everyone would SWEAT A LOT! *Well, okay, provided you're not inside an air-cond place*

None the less, after you sweat, you have a kind of odour that well, not very pleasing and maybe it's OKAY to you, but definitely NOT for others around you! Especially when coincidentally you're standing in front of the air-cond, and the odour spreads to everyone near you...

Imagine you're inside an LRT or bus at peak hours, and somebody near you is holding the handle above thus the armpit is “open-aired”...

… Wait a minute, are YOU blushing now? Are YOU that person with odour instead?
